Claude & Claude Design (Anthropic)
Anthropic’s Claude for deep UX writing and research synthesis, plus Claude Design (research preview)—visual prototypes, decks, and system-aware mockups powered by Claude Opus 4.7.
Claude is Anthropic’s general assistant with long context, strong reasoning, and multimodal input. UX and product teams use it for interview synthesis, journey-mapping drafts, critique of flows and copy, accessibility checks, and workshop-ready artifacts.
In April 2026 Anthropic Labs launched Claude Design: a visual collaboration surface where you describe outcomes and Claude produces polished work—interactive prototypes, wireframes, slides, one-pagers, and marketing visuals. You refine results through conversation, inline comments, direct edits, and adjustable controls instead of restarting from scratch.
Claude Design runs on the vision-capable Opus 4.7 model. With the right access, it can align outputs with a team design system learned from codebases and design files. You can start from prompts, uploads (including common office formats), or web capture; export to Canva, PDF, PPTX, or standalone HTML; and package handoffs for Claude Code when a design is ready to build.
Access is included for Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise subscribers within plan usage, with optional extra usage on paid tiers where available. On Enterprise, administrators may need to enable Claude Design for the organization before it appears for end users.
Beyond Design, the broader Claude product includes Projects, Research, extended thinking, desktop and mobile apps, connectors such as Slack and Google Workspace, and remote MCP—supporting end-to-end workflows from discovery and analysis through visual exploration and delivery.
